Matthew Genitempo — Jasper

A beautiful project about the Ozark Mountain region. Matthew photographed people who live secluded in this rugged area. He used a view camera, describing it as a ‘serious presence’, making it clear to his subjects he is committed to his work. One subject pointed him to the next, he said.

The photographs are atmospheric and show the unique characters you’ll find in a place like the Ozarks.
