Harm van de Poel — Black Snow
What is the impact of a coal factory on a small town and its residents? That is what Harm set out to document, with his large format camera. The stifling pressure of a toxic environment is shown in a very visible way (such as black stains on a building) and a more subtle (almost invisible) way. His portraits are haunting, poignant and delicate in the same instant.
