Yan Ming — Country of Ambition

Ming is a famous Chinese photographer who worked a lot of years on this project, which offers a view into rural China. It shows a country that is indifferent to (Western) trends and lingers in its old ways.

Ming plays with the square format, using it to show big bold lines and give his pictures a sense of scale.
