Helene Appel — Dirty Sinks

The work of Helene is hyper-realistic, focussing on very small details like rice grains or the texture of a fabric. She made different case studies into different materials but these kitchen sinks steal the show for me. The utensils, soap bubbles but especially the way the water distorts the shapes and shadows of the items in the water.
