Francesco Aglieri Rinella — Apparent Death

A fellow large format photographer at work here. I love the way Francesco utilizes the movements of his camera, for example by making only the head of the subject in the first image sharp, and his legs already being thrown out of focus. He’s really taking direction of the viewers attention this way.

The technical aspects aside, this project about the Appalachia region is still very much ongoing. Francesco travels regularly to the USA to continue working on this project.
